Recording day two didn't go as well as day one, but was still a success!
The day was off to a bad start when, due to a bicycle race fundraiser going on in downtown Montreal, many roads were blocked off and Brian and I only got to the studio a half hour after noon. Luckily, they had waited for us there so nothing was lost!
I saved the most difficult piece of the seven chosen for my album for day two: Mozart's Alleluia. The last page took quite a few takes to get just right, but eventually we did get a good take! After that, I recorded Pie Jesu (Fauré) and I was quite tired by the time I did the last piece, O Holy Night (Adolphe Adam), but everything was finished! Woo hoo!
After finishing recording, we started working on editing but I am still going to have to go back to finish everything up. I am scheduled to return to finish everything in August. On the bright side, the singing part is completely done!
As a bonus, here is a photo of me at the recording studio:
I'm a little relieved, but I am also super excited! I can't wait to finish it up!
